If you come to Zhangjiajie and only want to see the main sights, then at most it is a three-day, two-night itinerary! The places you visit are mainly the key Forest Park, and the Forest Park includes Tianzi Mountain. The Wulingyuan scenic area is also within this range. If you want to truly spend the best number of days sightseeing, then five days is probably the optimal time! The itinerary and time for the Forest Park remain unchanged. Other places to go include Baofeng Lake, Huanglong Cave, Tianmen Mountain, and a rafting itinerary.

First, confirm the exact time you will arrive in Zhangjiajie that day and how many days you will spend. If you arrive too late in the afternoon in the city area, then presumably you can no longer go to the scenic area. In that case, if you stay one night in the city area, please note: if you have not booked a hotel yourself, do not be easily fooled by the sweet talk of local people, so as to avoid being cheated without even knowing it! In such a situation, if you have contacted a guide online, then just leave it to the guide to handle that day. As for whether you will be cheated by the guide, please negotiate the price in advance with the guide according to the standard of accommodation you need!
On the second day, early in the morning, the guide will take you directly to the scenic area! If you arrive that day before 2 p.m., and want to enter the scenic area, you can ask the guide to find a way for you. If it is any later, I'm afraid it will be very difficult! Because the problem is that after it gets late, the shuttle buses in the scenic area stop running, which causes a lot of inconvenience.
If you drive here yourself and arrive in the city area that day, you can park the car in the hotel parking lot. That only costs 10 yuan a day. Because your private car cannot enter the scenic area! You can only pick up the car in the city area after you finish sightseeing. Then see whether you are going to Fenghuang or heading back. Luggage needs to be brought along, but if you are afraid of trouble, after arriving at the ticket station you can find a porter to help you carry it up the mountain! This also does not cost much. After arriving at the place where you will stay that day, you can put your luggage in your room, and then the remaining two days will be very convenient for sightseeing! On the third day, when going down the mountain and leaving the Forest Park, you can likewise ask a porter to carry it down.
I believe basically everyone who comes to visit does a three-day, two-night trip, so let's talk about three days and two nights first! For local self-guided tours, the all-inclusive price is 470 per person! Students and small children can have the ticket discount deducted from the 470! All-inclusive refers to (ticket 248 / student ticket 134 / children under 1.2 meters free) and food, accommodation, and guide service for three days and two nights! The route usually enters from the Forest Park and exits at Wulingyuan. For food, it is calculated according to the number of people. For example, for two people the standard is one meat dish, one vegetable dish, and soup! For five people it is three meat dishes, two vegetable dishes, and one soup. The accommodation standard is a farmhouse inn in the scenic area! Hygiene is guaranteed for you! 24-hour hot water for showers. Private bathroom. TV. All are available. The only possible issue may be air conditioning, but you do not need to worry because the temperature difference in the scenic area between morning and evening is very large, and at night you do not need air conditioning and it is still very cool. After taking a shower, you will definitely sleep well! As for mosquitoes, mosquito coils and such are all supplied. But there is no need to worry too much—there are not many mosquitoes, almost none! Very few.
Take a bus from the city area to the Forest Park ticket station. First you visit Golden Whip Stream, following the stream all the way while sightseeing. The scenic spots you see include Mother and Child Peak, Pig Bajie Carrying His Wife, Divine Eagle Guarding the Whip, Golden Whip Rock, Drunken Arhat, Master and Disciples Fetching Sutras, Cleaving the Mountain to Save the Mother, Candle Peak, Longevity Spring, Scholar Hiding Books, Wenxing Rock, Two Turtles Exploring the Stream, Purple Grass Pool, and Meeting After a Thousand Miles. At this point Golden Whip Stream is already half walked. Based on your physical strength at the time, decide whether to go to Water Winding Around Four Gates and take the elevator up the mountain, or climb up from Luanshuan Slope! After climbing up to the summit and eating lunch, continue forward and then walk to scenic spots such as the Back Garden, Soul-Enchanting Terrace, and Number One Bridge Under Heaven, then take the shuttle bus to Wulong Village parking lot. On the second day, after breakfast, take the shuttle bus to Daguantai! View the panorama of Tianzi Mountain and Tianzi Peak, then see Immortal Bridge, One Step Hard to Walk, Divine Chicken Pecking Food, and Tianzi Seat, then return the same way back to Wulong Village parking lot, eat lunch, and then go to Wulong Village. (Along the way the sights include Golden Rooster Announcing Dawn, Three Ghost Gates, the first gate One Step Hard to Walk, the second gate Who Dares Not Bow, and the third gate A Thread of Sky. At Wulong Village, the scenic spot you see is Tianbo Mansion. Then return to the place where we stay for dinner.)
On the third day, after breakfast in the morning, take the shuttle bus to Shentang Bay, see Shentang Bay and Jiangjiang Terrace, then go to Helong Park, see Yubi Peak, Fairy Scattering Flowers, and Tianzi Pavilion. After going down the mountain and seeing the Ten-Mile Gallery, take a bus out of the Wulingyuan ticket station. If you are not in a hurry to catch a bus, you can look around Wulingyuan for a while and then take a bus back to the city area. If you want the next stop to be Fenghuang, the last bus from the city area to Fenghuang is at 2:30! In this way you can confirm with the guide and have them book a ticket for you, rush back to the city area by 2:30, and then go directly to Fenghuang. If you have a private car, at this time you can also pick up the car and set off for Fenghuang!
If you have time to play for two more days, then at noon that day see Wulingyuan and Huanglong Cave. On the fourth day you can go to Baofeng Lake, and around midday or in the afternoon go to Tianmen Mountain! In the afternoon return to the city area and stay there that night! On the fifth day, go rafting early in the morning! Then in Furong Town there are direct buses to Fenghuang, so you can go straight to Fenghuang! Because Fenghuang is relatively simple—it is just an ancient town that looks like an old town—staying there for two days and one night is enough.
In this season the weather is relatively hot! But after entering the scenic area it is still okay. The average temperature is about 25, so wearing short sleeves should not be too much of a problem. Just in case, bringing an umbrella is always good! Other than that, you need changes of clothes. Basically there is nothing else. You can bring the things you use in daily life! Things you do not need to bring can be stored. Bringing too much is also inconvenient!
