How to Explore Wulingyuan Core Scenic Area: Multi-Day Tickets, Eco-Buses, and Cable Car Transfers
Wulingyuan tickets are valid for multiple days, allowing repeated entry through several gates. The area is vast, so making good use of eco-buses and cable cars/lifts can save you a great deal of energy and time.
The Wulingyuan Core Scenic Area (Zhangjiajie National Forest Park) is very large and difficult to cover in a single day, so tickets are usuallyvalid for multiple days, and there are multiple ticket stations (such as Forest Park, Wujiayu, Yangjiajie, Tianzi Mountain, Zimugang, etc.), allowing entry and exit from different directions.
Transportation within the scenic area:
- Eco-bus: connects the main attractions and cable car stations, serving as the "public bus" within the scenic area, ridden with your ticket.
- Cable car/elevator: Tianzi Mountain Cable Car, Yangjiajie Cable Car, Huangshizhai Cable Car, and the Bailong Elevator with a vertical height of about 326 meters, used for going up/down the mountain and greatly saving energy (usually requires a separate ticket or a combo ticket).
- Sightseeing tram: on the Ten-Mile Gallery section you can take a mini train and easily enjoy the peak forest on both sides.
Tips:D1 enter from the Forest Park ticket station and walk along Golden Whip Stream; D2 take the Bailong Elevator or Tianzi Mountain Cable Car up to Yuanjiajie/Tianzi Mountain; schedule the spots you most want to see for when you have the most energy. In peak season, please make a real-name reservation in advance and enter as early as possible to avoid queues.
