A full tour of Tianmen Mountain takes about 4—5 hours, including: the East Line, Middle Line, and West Line;
If you arrive in Zhangjiajie at 2 p.m., you can go straight to Tianmen Mountain without any problem.

In addition, when traveling in Zhangjiajie, also pay attention to the following:

First, Zhangjiajie originally belonged to the remote Xiangxi region, and there are many indigenous people. Please follow local customs, respect local traditions, and follow the guide's arrangements. Do not buy things from roadside stalls or vendors to avoid trouble. Ethnic minorities have many taboos. If you need to shop, please go to state-run designated tourist shops. This also protects your interests. Small vendors in the scenic area may behave aggressively or uncivilly, so please be careful.

Second, when shopping or walking around freely, please do not act alone, and do not try to save money by buying counterfeit or inferior products in small shops. (Some Hunan specialties)

Third, during the tour, follow the guide's arrangements. Zhangjiajie is purely natural scenery, so remember the principle: "Walk without looking at the scenery; look at the scenery without walking." There are sedan-chair carriers along the way. Be sure to agree on the price before riding, and it is the price for one sedan chair, not per person.

Fourth, because the standards in mainland China and Taiwan are different (in the mainland, one jin is 10 liang), when buying fruit and other things, you should bring your escort along to avoid short weights.

Fifth, try to cooperate with the guide and driver. Follow the four-heart principle: "travel happily, eat satisfactorily, stay comfortably, and play with peace of mind."

Sixth, during the Spring Festival, Zhangjiajie is in peak season, and there will be more tourists at every attraction. During the trip, there may be queuing for buses and other situations. In winter, it may snow and freeze on the mountains in Zhangjiajie, and the trails may be slippery, so everyone should be careful.

Seventh, the Zhangjiajie Scenic Area is a key fire-prevention unit. Everyone cannot smoke at any time; please go to designated smoking rooms.

Eighth, weather conditions in Zhangjiajie: there may be light rain plus snow, and the temperature is generally quite comfortable.

Items to bring: umbrella, warm jacket, hat and gloves, external medicines.

Note: Zhangjiajie is a mountainous area, and the climate will be colder and more humid than in Zhangjiajie city proper, so you should prepare in time. If guests have poor resistance, they should bring necessary medicines: cold medicine, throat lozenges, and so on.
