Must-Know Tips for a Zhangjiajie Trip (May 2010 Edition)
To make it easier and more enjoyable for backpackers to travel in Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang, the Zhangjiajie Li Family Siblings Self-Guided Tour Club has gathered some online information and real-life experience, and specially written the following guide for everyone, hoping it will be helpful:
1. How to get to Zhangjiajie?
1. Flights:
Friends from Northeast China can fly from their location to Beijing, then take a direct flight from Beijing to Zhangjiajie. There are direct flights from Beijing to Zhangjiajie every day; or fly from your departure place to Changsha, then transfer to Zhangjiajie. There are flights from Changsha to Zhangjiajie every day.
Friends from the Southeast can fly from their location to Shanghai, Shenzhen, and other places, then transfer to a direct flight to Zhangjiajie.
2. Trains:
(1) Northeast direction: From Harbin, Changchun, Shenyang, Dalian, and other places, you can take T72, T48, T18, T227/T226 directly to Beijing, then transfer to train K267 directly to Zhangjiajie; or take T238/T235 to Changsha, then transfer from Changsha to N726/N728, N733/N736, N710/N711, N702/N704, K91/K94, all of which can reach Zhangjiajie. Warm reminder: During Golden Week, friends from the above directions who want to buy return tickets should preferably buy tickets in advance for transfer through Changsha, because getting tickets in Zhangjiajie is very difficult.
(2) Southeast direction: Friends from Shanghai, Wuxi, Nanjing, and other places can take train 1607/1608 and get off at Zhangjiajie; friends from Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and other directions can take trains N702/N704 and N710/N711 and get off at Zhangjiajie; friends from Hubei can take trains 2159 and 1473 and get off at Zhangjiajie; friends from Guangxi can take train 2012 to Zhangjiajie; friends from Changsha, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan, and other areas of Hunan can take N733 directly to Zhangjiajie; friends from Chenzhou, Hengyang, Changsha, Yiyang, Changde, and other areas can take N726 directly to Zhangjiajie.
3. Bus:
With the opening of the Changde-Zhangjiajie Expressway, it is now very convenient to come to Zhangjiajie by bus, which provides great convenience for self-driving friends.
(1) Beijing direction---(via Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway)→Changsha---(Changsha-Changde Expressway, Changde-Zhangjiajie Expressway)→Zhangjiajie;
(2) Changsha direction---(Changsha-Changde Expressway, Changde-Zhangjiajie Expressway)→Zhangjiajie, taking only three and a half hours,
(3) Wuhan direction---(Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway)→Changsha→Zhangjiajie;
(4) Guangzhou direction---(Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway)→Changsha→Zhangjiajie;
(5) Shanghai direction→Nanjing→Hefei→Qianshan→Huanggang→Wuhan→Changsha→Zhangjiajie or Shanghai→Hangzhou→Jinhua→Quzhou→Nanchang→Zhuzhou→Changsha→Zhangjiajie
2. After arriving in Zhangjiajie city, how to get to the scenic area?
1. Railway Station
Zhangjiajie's new railway station was put into use on January 18, 2008, and you will find that Zhangjiajie is re-establishing its image as an international tourist city. When exiting the archway, there will be many people in uniforms or without uniforms holding megaphones recommending several-day tours to you. At this time, you do not need to pay attention to them. Once you have a few questions you want to ask them, you will be surrounded tightly by them, because they are people from some so-called travel agencies near the railway station. The best method at this time is to head straight to the large square on the left outside the exit. The square has direct buses to the city center. Buses 5 and 6 are both 1 RMB per person (from 22:00 to 06:00 it is 2 RMB per person) and both go to the city center. After taking Bus 5 into the city center, get off at the bus station, then transfer at the bus station to the BUS going to the scenic area. The one to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is 10 RMB per person and takes 35-40 minutes. The one to Wulingyuan is 12 RMB per person and also takes 35-40 minutes. After arriving in Wulingyuan, take a taxi for 3 RMB to the Sign Gate (that is, the ticket station there), or take Bus 3 to the Sign Gate. The bus to the Tianzi Mountain ticket station is 15 RMB per person and takes 1.5 hours. If you take Bus 6 into the city center, get off at the Department Store Building, then turn left and walk 400 meters to the bus station. The above BUSes from the bus station to the scenic area all run every 10 minutes, except the one to the Tianzi Mountain ticket station, which runs once an hour.
2. Airport:
After getting off the plane, there is Bus 4 outside the airport to the city center, 1 RMB per person, but there are not many runs. (8:00-18:00) If you cannot wait for the bus, taking a taxi to the city center costs between 20-30 RMB. If you want to get it done for 15 RMB, the best way is to turn right after exiting the airport gate and walk 400 meters to outside the airport gate, where there will be many taxis, and that one only costs 20 RMB. The 30 RMB ones inside the airport are more expensive because they have to pay parking fees! Then it will depend on your bargaining ability!
3. Bus Station:
Zhangjiajie has two bus stations. Generally, buses taking the expressway stop at the East Station. The East Station is close to the railway station, so after getting off you need to stop outside and take Bus 2, Bus 7, and other buses to the city bus station. Then at the city bus station, take a bus to the various scenic areas. Special reminder: When taking buses, you must watch out for pickpockets!!

---- Eating in Zhangjiajie:
Generally, what self-guided backpackers like most when going out is to taste the local specialty snacks, because they have plenty of time. This is why most people now like to choose self-guided travel. I believe what backpackers like most are the following------
In Zhangjiajie city proper, there are many places with good food. The first worth recommending is Zhangjiajie's specialty dish-----Sanxiaguo. The so-called Sanxiaguo is actually a very convenient dry pot. It is made from three main ingredients and is a hot pot stewed without soup. I think the "Master Hu Sanxiaguo" near Fengwan Bridge and "Sister Chen Sanxiaguo" at Cross Street are both pretty good. Sanxiaguo is 15 RMB per portion, and the portion is quite enough to eat. Two or three people only need to order 30 RMB worth, and you are guaranteed to eat enough and well! The recommended one is dry-fried intestines, dry-fried walnut meat, and Xiangxi cured meat stewed together. While eating, you can also order a portion of pickled radish, crisp and sour. It is truly excellent!
There is also a place for eating pickled cabbage beef, called Yinmandou. It is relatively hard to find. Go into the small alley opposite the aviation school, adjacent to the pedestrian street. The building at the street entrance is a large internet cafe called Songzhumei, off-white in color, and the building on the other side is the three-story building of the pedestrian street. Go in from here and walk a while; it is located in the middle of this small alley, with a signboard. Their pickled cabbage beef is quite famous, and the mutton is also very well made. The mutton has the taste of pork. I do not know whether saying this is praise or criticism?
Also, in the city center there is a place called Sanjiaoping, where there is a place specializing in fish head. The taste is also very good. Tell the driver when taking a taxi, and he can take you there. On Beizheng Street, there are also many places with good food, such as Music Kitchen and so on! Also, for late-night snacks, at the Department Store Building, go straight past the intersection, and that whole street has them. The snacks at night are very rich!
Let me also give you a place that is not easy to find, to eat "Straw Hat Noodles." The name comes from the owner wearing a straw hat all year round while selling noodles. The sauce is very fragrant and can be added. The noodles are processed by himself and are said to be entirely handmade. The owner is very eccentric and only sells a little every day. It used to be even more eccentric: only sold at 9 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. If you wanted to eat his Straw Hat Noodles, you actually had to call him and ask whether he was in a good mood and whether he would come out to sell noodles? Only with a reservation would you not make a wasted trip. But because of this mystery, his noodles have a somewhat mythical flavor. Now there is a simple shop, 10 meters inside the entrance of the second small alley on the left from the bus station entrance toward the Department Store Building. There is no signboard. A flatbed cart with a worn straw hat hanging on it is the place. However, by around 1 p.m. every day it is gone. If you want to eat it, hehe, go early! Whether you can eat it depends on your luck! The noodles are indeed good, 2 RMB for a small bowl, 2.5 RMB for a large bowl. After eating, you want more, especially the sauce.
Another place worth visiting in the city center is a place called Xiuhua Mountain Hall. No local driver does not know it. Take a taxi for one RMB, and anyone will take you there. Inside is pure Miao and Tujia folk custom, as well as some collections, quite eye-opening. The ticket is very cheap, 30 RMB per ticket.
Another place worth going is Baiyang Ancient Temple, also called Puguang Zen Temple. Local people generally call it by the latter name. From the railway station, take Bus 1 or 7 and you can get off directly in front of the temple. The ticket is 20.
Finally, the places recommended in the city center are one mountain and one park. The mountain is the Martyrs' Cemetery. You need to climb for a while, but it is not very tiring. You can reach the top in 10 to 20 minutes and view the whole of the small city of Zhangjiajie. It is also worth the trip. At dusk, when taking a walk and strolling, you can climb it just as exercise. The other park is Dayong Bridge Park, a very good place to rest, free, and also a good place for locals to rest after meals. It is relatively large, and you can see the majestic Tianmen Mountain, which is where the plane flew through the cave. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, starting at 7 p.m., there is a large music fountain performance. The scenery is very good!
2. Overview of Zhangjiajie Scenic Area:
Zhangjiajie City is currently a prefecture-level city, divided into two counties and two districts, namely Zili County and Sangzhi County. The two districts are Yongding District and Wulingyuan District. Because the scenic area is under the jurisdiction of Wulingyuan District, the scenic area as a whole is called Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area. Within the Wulingyuan scenic area, it is further divided into several small parts, namely Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Yuanjiajie, Yangjiajie, Tianzi Mountain, and Suoxiyu, five parts in total. These five parts share one ticket, 245 RMB + 3 RMB insurance. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is further divided into Huangshizhai and the Golden Whip Stream tour route. Yuanjiajie Scenic Area includes attractions such as the No. 1 Bridge under Heaven, Mihun Terrace, and Back Garden. Yangjiajie Scenic Area includes the famous Wulong Village, One Step to Heaven, and so on. Tianzi Mountain is the most expansive, divided into Daguantai, Immortal Bridge, One Step Difficult to Pass, Laowuchang, He Long Park, and other premium tour routes. Suoxiyu is composed of tour routes such as Ten-Mile Gallery and Water Surrounding Four Gates. The scenic area is relatively large, and the terrain is relatively complex. The total area of the entire scenic area is 298 square kilometers.

2. Accommodation in Zhangjiajie:
(1) Accommodation in Zhangjiajie city center:
Because public security in the city center is not as good as in the scenic area, for safety's sake it is better to stay in a hotel. The cost will be relatively higher. A two-star standard twin room is about 80-120 RMB, and a three-star one is about 160 to 220 RMB. In the city center, the most concentrated area for hotels is on Renmin Road, near the bus station. Friends had best choose to stay near the bus station, because it will be more convenient when going to the scenic area or returning. Recommended is Forest Hotel, two-star, very close to the bus station, very convenient.
(2) Accommodation in Zhangjiajie Scenic Area:
Farmhouse stays in the Zhangjiajie Scenic Area are mainly distributed in Yangjiajie Wulong Village, followed by Yuanjiajie and Tianzi Mountain scenic areas. Generally, for self-guided travel to Zhangjiajie, it is best to stay within the scenic area. Although the accommodation conditions there are somewhat worse than in the city center, it can save the fatigue of traveling back and forth, avoid retracing your steps, and also save time. In the scenic area, it is recommended to stay at the farmhouse hotel opened by the Li family siblings at No. 1 Bridge under Heaven----"Mountain Family" (reservation phone 13907445404//QQ: 448911567). First, this place is in the core area of the scenic area, making it very convenient to visit the surrounding scenic spots; second, after going up the mountain, you can leave your luggage at the inn, making it easy to tour lightly. The Tujia inn is adjacent to Yuanjiajie, Yangjiajie, Daguantai, Tianzi Mountain, Laowuchang, and other attractions; the farmhouse stays highly praised by netizens are all here. If booking a room separately, it is only 60 RMB for a double room, and 80 RMB for a couple's room. And if you need guide service, you can also ask them; their whole family works as guides.

3. Getting around Zhangjiajie:
Zhangjiajie is just a small mountain city. As long as you are in the city center, taking a taxi from the east of the city to the west of the city can be done for 20 RMB, and the starting fare is 3 RMB. Taking the ring bus No. 10 for one RMB per person can also let you tour around Zhangjiajie. If you are physically fit and like shopping, walking around the city center is also quite easy!
4. What to do in Zhangjiajie:
In the city center, the place worth going to should be Tujia Folk Custom Park. Ring bus No. 10 passes by, and taking a taxi for 5 RMB can get you there, very convenient. Tujia Folk Custom Park mainly introduces some ethnic minority architecture and folk customs. Inside there is already the Nine-Heaven Stilted Building that set a Guinness World Record, and every night there are Tujia folk performances, climbing a mountain of knives and stepping into a sea of fire, Ghost Valley Divine Skill, and so on, very worth visiting. The ticket is 80 RMB per person.

Therefore, there are many tour routes in the scenic area. Considering that most people nowadays are full of individuality, I will omit some unimportant places and attractions, and write out the most essential and most economical routes for your reference.
4. Ways to tour:
1. Choose "Li Family Siblings Self-Guided Tour" 3 days 2 nights all-inclusive: 470 RMB/person, including the 248 RMB per person ticket, 5 main meals, 2 breakfasts, two nights' accommodation in a farmhouse inn (conditions are: color TV, hot water, and private bathroom) and guide fee. (Cableway, elevator, and sightseeing train costs are self-paid.) The above price is the standard for low season. During Golden Week, room rates throughout the Zhangjiajie area generally rise by 50%----100%, and the scenic area is the same. But what I want to remind backpackers is that during Golden Week, accommodation will be relatively tight, and there will also be many tourists. So friends who want a quiet and leisurely trip must consider this well.
2. If taking the form of paying a guide fee, it is 50 RMB/day. You can go wherever you want and the guide will take you there. Food and accommodation are the same, but the Zhangjiajie Scenic Area is very large, so it is still necessary to listen to the guide's opinions on itinerary arrangements and so on. This avoids spending unnecessary money and walking unnecessary roads.
5. Ways to enter the park:
1. Take a bus from Zhangjiajie to Tianzi Mountain (fare 15 RMB), then from the Tianzi Mountain ticket station take a bus directly to the top of Tianzi Mountain. The ride is about 2 hours. This plan can save more than 50 RMB in elevator or cableway costs, or you can climb more than 8,000 steps less and save a lot of energy for sightseeing. It is recommended to first check in at the scenic area's "Mountain Family" so you can put down your luggage, then start touring. Finally, leave the park through the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park ticket station.
2. From the bus station, go to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The ticket is 8 RMB per person. The full ticket to enter the park is 248 RMB per person. Students under 24 years old can purchase a discounted ticket of 134 RMB/person with a valid student ID. Those with an officer's certificate or military academy student certificate or a press card at or above the provincial level and elderly people over 70 years old can enter the park free of charge. Moreover, all friends who have purchased discounted tickets or free tickets can also buy discounted tickets for tourist facilities in the scenic area such as cableways, elevators, and sightseeing trains! After entering the park, you can choose some suitable tour routes. (For specific route introductions, please continue reading below.) Finally, leave the park through the Wulingyuan Sign Gate.
3. You can also take a bus from Zhangjiajie Bus Station to Wulingyuan Bus Station, then take a taxi there (3 RMB) to the Wulingyuan ticket station, buy a ticket and enter the park, and finally leave the park through the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park ticket station.

Itinerary Arrangement

Day 1: A happy and fresh first day: walking through the peak forest maze of Golden Whip Stream, the bizarre and beautiful Yuanjiajie (the prototype of the mountain in the movie Avatar)
Morning: The guide and driver meet the tourists at the airport or station or hotel holding a sign, then take an air-conditioned tour bus (you can enjoy 40 minutes of Xiangxi rural scenery along the way), then directly enter the scenic area from the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park ticket station to tour (the 248 RMB ticket is included); hike through the "most beautiful canyon in the world"---Golden Whip Stream Scenic Area (including attractions such as Guanyin Delivering a Child, Pig Bajie Carrying His Wife, Divine Eagle Protecting the Whip, Cleaving the Mountain to Save the Mother, the filming location of Journey to the West, Longevity Spring, Meeting After a Thousand Miles, etc.). After finishing Golden Whip Stream, there are two ways to go up to the mountaintop Yuanjiajie Scenic Area (one: from Meeting After a Thousand Miles at Golden Whip Stream, hike up to Yuanjiajie via Luancuan Slope; two: from Water Surrounding Four Gates, take the eco-bus to the lower station of Bailong Elevator, then take the world's No. 1 outdoor elevator to the mountaintop Yuanjiajie)

Afternoon: After lunch, tour the core of the World Natural Heritage---Yuanjiajie Scenic Area (including the prototype of "Hallelujah Mountain" in the movie Avatar, "Qiankun Pillar," No. 1 Bridge under Heaven, Nine-Heaven Mystic Ladder, Qiankun Pillar, Heart-Linking Bridge, China-Korea Friendship Pavilion, Divine Turtle Asking Heaven, Mihun Terrace, and other attractions). Yuanjiajie is one of the most peculiar and spectacular mountaintop viewing scenic areas in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, surpassing Huangshizhai and Tianzi Mountain scenic areas... After that, take about a 20-minute eco-bus to the accommodation at Daguantai

Accommodation location: Tianzi Mountain top Daguantai Scenic Area (convenient for viewing the magnificent sunrise when the weather is good)
Special tip: On the first day entering the scenic area, you need to take a bus and climb mountains. It is recommended to keep luggage light and wear travel shoes or casual sportswear

Day 2: An awe-inspiring second day: the supremely dominant One Step to Heaven, naturally immortal and bandit-spirited Wulong Village
Morning: After breakfast, you can watch the sunrise, one of Zhangjiajie's four great wonders (requires good weather).
Morning: Tour the most beautiful place in Zhangjiajie Scenic Area, Yangjiajie Scenic Area (Tianbo Mansion, One Step to Heaven, Sky Corridor, Three Ghost Gate Passes, Yang Family Female Warriors, Echo Wall, Lovers' Peak, Five Finger Mountain, Tianbo Mansion, Fifth Son Worshipping Buddha, and other attractions), the most famous bandit lair in greater Xiangxi--Wulong Village. Because the mountain terrain where the stronghold is located is dangerous, when night falls it looks like a black dragon coiled on the mountain ridge, hence the name! The scenery of Yangjiajie, like Zhangjiajie, is mainly primitive natural beauty. Compared with Zhangjiajie, Tianzi Mountain, and Suoxiyu, apart from the geology and landforms and some peaks being basically the same, it also has its own unique features. It is not like Zhangjiajie, yet surpasses Zhangjiajie. It is an excellent scenic area that regular tour groups do not have time to arrange...

Afternoon: Tour Daguantai Scenic Area (Tianzi Seat, Immortal Bridge, Divine Chicken Pecking Food, One Step Difficult to Pass), and distant view of the panorama of Ten-Mile Gallery; among the Daguantai Scenic Area, Immortal Bridge is the most breathtaking! A stone bridge about 1.5 meters wide and more than 10 meters long spans two sheer cliffs thousands of feet high; below the bridge clouds and mist swirl, bottomless! Occasionally strange sounds of birds and beasts rise from the valley bottom! It adds a bit of mystery to the Immortal Bridge Scenic Area. In the evening, watch the sunset over Zhangjiajie Tianzi Mountain---gorgeous rosy clouds.

Accommodation location: Tianzi Mountain top Daguantai Scenic Area
Special tip: There are many attractions to visit that day during the tour. Because mountain-type scenic areas mostly involve walking, sightseeing is relatively tiring, and there are fewer places to buy things in the scenic area. It is recommended to bring some snacks or drinking water to replenish energy and water

Famous attractions in the itinerary
Wulong Village--Yangjiajie attraction Immortal Bridge--Daguantai attraction Panorama of Daguantai

Day 3: A third day with more to come: savoring the legends of Tianzi Mountain and the landscape painting of Ten-Mile Gallery
Morning: Tour the "enlarged bonsai, reduced fairyland"---Tianzi Mountain Scenic Area, known as the king of peak forests (Fairy Maiden Scattering Flowers, Imperial Brush Peak, Tianzi Pavilion, Cloud Rock, and other attractions), He Long Park, the bronze statue of He Long, one of the ten marshals, then go to the scenic area at the foot of the mountain to tour. (There are two ways down the mountain: one: hike down via Wolong Ridge to the Ten-Mile Gallery Scenic Area at the foot of the mountain. Two: take the cableway down from the upper station of Tianzi Mountain cableway, then take the scenic area eco-bus to Ten-Mile Gallery Scenic Area.) After going down the mountain, tour Ten-Mile Gallery Scenic Area (Herb-Gathering Old Man, Three Sisters Peak, Conch Peak, Longevity Star Welcoming Guests, etc.).

Afternoon: Take a tour bus for about 50 minutes back to the city center, passing by the "ancient battlefield of a thousand years" Baizhang Gorge as you leave the scenic area: the gorge is named because it has stone walls nearly a hundred zhang high piercing the clouds, too high to look up at. Return to Zhangjiajie city. If the weather is clear, you can also see from the bus the "soul of Wuling," the towering Tianmen Mountain and Tianmen Cave. End the pleasant journey!

Special tip: On this day, there are frequent transfers between scenic areas and regions. It is recommended to check and carry your belongings well for a smooth journey...

After traveling this way and seeing so many attractions, at this moment, what feelings do you have? Do you sigh that Zhangjiajie's scenery is so magical and so beautiful? Do you sigh that every attraction in Zhangjiajie has a little story closely related to it? Do you sigh that the uncanny workmanship of nature is so magical? After touring, you will more or less gain something. Let us not talk about these for now. Just let her form a permanent beautiful memory in your mind! The above is the first touring plan. The reason for writing some attractions in more detail is to facilitate backpackers' travel. The following plans only give simple itinerary arrangements.
Plan 2
Day 1 morning: Enter the park from Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, walk Golden Whip Stream and go straight up to Yuanjiajie (the two ways up to Yuanjiajie are as shown above: one is climbing up Luancuan Slope, the other is walking Golden Whip Stream and taking the elevator up.)
Afternoon: Tour Yuanjiajie, No. 1 Bridge under Heaven, Mihun Terrace, Back Garden, etc. Stay overnight at "Mountain Family" inn in Yuanjiajie.
Day 2 morning: Tour Yangjiajie----climb Wulong Village, explore the Three Ghost Gate Passes, view the wonder of Tianbo Mansion, go up One Step to Heaven, walk the Sky Corridor.

Afternoon: Tour Daguantai, Tianzi Seat, Divine Chicken Pecking Food, Immortal Bridge, and other attractions. Stay at "Mountain Family".
Day 3: Morning: Tour Tianzi Mountain, He Long Park, Shentang Bay, Dianjiang Terrace, etc.; afternoon: take the Tianzi Mountain cableway or walk down Wolong Ridge to tour Ten-Mile Gallery, leave the mountain from the Wulingyuan ticket station and return to Zhangjiajie city center.
Plan 3
Day 1 morning: Enter the park from the Wulingyuan Sign Gate, walk Ten-Mile Gallery and go up to the top of Tianzi Mountain (there are also two ways up to the mountaintop-----one is to walk Ten-Mile Gallery and then continue hiking up, climbing more than 8,000 steps straight to the top of Tianzi Mountain; the other is to tour Ten-Mile Gallery and then take the Tianzi Mountain cableway straight up to the mountaintop);
Afternoon: He Long Park----Shentang Bay---Dianjiang Terrace, stay at "Mountain Family".

Day 2 morning: Visit Daguantai;
Afternoon: See Yangjiajie;

Day 3 morning: Tour Yuanjiajie;
Afternoon: Bring your luggage, go down the mountain, walk Golden Whip Stream, leave Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, return to Zhangjiajie city center, and the trip ends.
Friends can choose any of the above three touring plans according to their actual situation. The attractions toured are already the essence of the essence. In other words, no matter which plan you choose, the attractions that should be visited can all be toured. If you still want to see Baofeng Lake, Yellow Dragon Cave, or Dragon King Cave, or if you still want to go rafting on Mengdong River, and you must also visit all the mountain attractions in Zhangjiajie, then you must have enough time. As mentioned above, to tour all of them, at least 5 days are needed. Baofeng Lake, as well as the caves and rafting, are not included in the 248 ticket. If you are interested, you must buy additional tickets. Baofeng Lake: 74 RMB/person, Yellow Dragon Cave 80 RMB/person. Mengdong River 180 RMB/person (including round-trip transportation to and from Zhangjiajie city center). Let you experience the No. 1 rafting under heaven that makes men wet and women scream. The rapids one after another are very exciting. If you still have time, I highly recommend a newly developed immortal mountain---Tianmen Mountain. It has the world's longest cableway---Tianmen Mountain Cableway, letting you truly experience a feeling of rising above the world. The price is a bit expensive, 258 per person. But it is indeed very good, with a wonder of China's highways----the winding mountain road. Then climb 999 steps and you will just reach the bottom of Tianmen Cave. In 1999 and 2006, the Russian Air Force performance team came to Zhangjiajie and performed the first airplane flight through a natural cave at Tianmen Cave. And when viewed from afar, Tianmen Cave looks like the "Eye of Sauron" in The Lord of the Rings. Hehe, do not be scared. This "Heavenly Eye" is not as evil as the "Eye of Sauron"! She is a "Heavenly Eye" that brings good fortune to Zhangjiajie!

7: What should be noted when going to Zhangjiajie?
1. Before coming to Zhangjiajie, it is best to collect more relevant information online and compare it. In this way, after you arrive, you will have a basic idea in your mind and avoid being cheated by some touts.
2. At Zhangjiajie exits (train, airport, bus station), there will be some people in uniforms, or people claiming to be from such-and-such travel agency. They are all fake. Their common method is to first trick you with a low price, then fleece you severely, leaving you in a dilemma. So friends are reminded not to lose a lot for the sake of a little petty gain! Also, after exiting the station, you will encounter some extremely enthusiastic aunts and older women who say they will help you carry your bags and ask whether you need a guide, accommodation, and so on! They will surround you tightly. At this time, the best way is not to pay attention to anyone and just walk on your own! If they still pester you and will not let go, then you have to call 110.
3. Because the climate in Zhangjiajie Scenic Area often changes, especially with a large temperature difference between morning and evening, friends are reminded to definitely bring cold-proof clothing before coming.
4. In short, going out to travel is for having fun and enjoying yourself. So do not care too much about small matters. And do not lose more for the sake of momentary satisfaction!
