Zhangjiajie Jingqingfeng Family Inn is located within Yuanjiajie in the Zhangjiajie-Wulingyuan core scenic area, at an altitude of more than 1,000 meters. Tianmen Mountain occupies a very important historical position in the Zhangjiajie area. Its geology and landforms are magical and unique, its natural resources are rich and precious, and its cultural connotations are even more profound and extensive. Many cultural relics and historic sites are famous far and wide, and it is honored as the "Soul of Zhangjiajie." Tianmen Mountain was called Songliang Mountain in ancient times. In the sixth year of Yong'an of the State of Wu (263 AD), the cliff of Tianmen Mountain suddenly opened into a cave, profound and bright like a gate, with a momentum as if reaching heaven. Emperor Sun Xiu of Wu regarded it as an auspicious sign, changed the name to Tianmen Mountain, and established Tianmen Commandery. For thousands of years, emperors and officials, hermits and recluses, eminent monks and old Taoists, and literati and poets competed to visit it, and the reputation of the "First Divine Mountain of Xiangxi" has since spread throughout the world.
In 1999, the world's master stunt pilot flew a plane through the world's highest-altitude natural karst cave through the mountain -- Tianmen Cave.
