Recommended itinerary for a DIY city tour of Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang Ancient Town: To be honest, there isn't much to see in Zhangjiajie city itself, so I suggest just taking Bus No. 10 and going around the city ring once - -. D5: Wander around Fenghuang, take an afternoon bus back to Changsha.
