Guangzhou-Zhangjiajie
Day 1 Itinerary Accommodation: On the train Meals:
Take the train from Guangzhou to Zhangjiajie.
Day 2 Itinerary Accommodation: Suoxiyu Meals: Lunch, Dinner
Arrive at Jishou at about 05:40 in the morning, then take a bus to Fenghuang for about 1 hour. Visit Fenghuang Ancient Town, a national historical and cultural city. It was once praised by the famous New Zealand writer Rewi Alley as the most beautiful small town in China. It is adjacent to the Dehang Miao Village in Jishou, the Mengdong River in Yongshun, and Mount Fanjing in Guizhou; Fenghuang has beautiful scenery, a long history, and many scenic spots and historical sites. In the town, the ancient city towers and Ming and Qing dynasty courtyards still retain their charm, and the ancient and simple Tuo River flows quietly; stroll along the Tuo River scenery, walk the ancient town's stone-slab streets, view the North Gate Wharf, and see the fairyland on earth; visit the Tuo River natural bathing area, Hongqiao, and see folk crafts—Xiong's batik, and the small combo ticket for nine major attractions at 148 RMB/person self-paid: (the Fenghuang combo ticket tour time is 2 hours) Shen Congwen's Former Residence, Tuo River boating, Hongqiao Art Building, Yang Family Ancestral Hall, East Gate City Tower, Xiong Xiling's Former Residence, Chongde Hall, Wanshou Palace, Ancient City Museum; if the Fenghuang Ancient Town small combo ticket is not included, guests may visit Fenghuang on their own, and the guide and driver will not accompany the tour) free time.

After breakfast, take a bus back to Zhangjiajie for about 4 hours. After lunch, visit Zhangjiajie's most beautiful canyon--Golden Whip Stream (tour time 2.5 hours), with a total length of 7.5 kilometers (walking 2.5 hours). The whole stream runs through peaks, secluded valleys, and clouds, extremely quiet, with clear stream water like a mirror, Golden Whip Rock, Purple Grass Pool, Lotus Lantern, Jumping Fish Pool, etc., making you feel as if you have arrived at a landscape art gallery. “In the next life, I would willingly be a stone, and marry the Suoxi water!” A poet, enamored with the beautiful Suoxi, gave rise to such a sigh, hence the name. (Shopping stop: Baoshutang or Guangshengtang 45 minutes)
Day 4 Itinerary Accommodation: On the train Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, visit Tianzi Mountain at an altitude of 1,262 meters (tour time 2 hours) (walking about 2 hours, cable car about 8 minutes at own expense). The scenery of Tianzi Mountain is everywhere: composed of dozens of scenic spots such as Sleeping Beauty, Imperial Brush Peak, Fairy Presenting Flowers, He Long Park, etc.; then visit Ten-Mile Gallery (tour time about 1 hour): Ten-Mile Gallery has a scene every three steps (walking about 1 hour one way, about 2 hours round trip; if taking the mini train, half an hour round trip) Longevity Star Greeting Guests, Herb-Gathering Old Man, Husband and Wife Embracing Child, Three Sisters Peak,,, with streams flowing through it and peaks arrayed on both sides, it looks like a national painting gallery. Take the train to Changsha (about 3.5 hours); after arriving, you can go on your own to experience Changsha's famous Piaoba, the huge Golden Years, Jiefang West Road Bar Street, Hot Dance Bar, or visit Mawangdui (free admission), etc. At 7:30 pm, take an air-conditioned tour bus from Changsha to Zhangjiajie;

In the morning visit Wuling Immortal Temple-Zixia Temple, then at own expense (56 RMB) take the Bailong Elevator up to Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, at own expense 128 RMB visit the Tujia mountain village—Yuanjia Village, then visit the king of peak forests—Tianzi Mountain Scenic Area: Imperial Brush Peak, Fairy Presenting Flowers, Heaven Platform, West Sea, Generals Going to Battle, He Long Park, Ten-Mile Gallery: Herb-Gathering Old Man, Three Sisters Peak, etc.,, browse the beef supermarket (40 minutes), visit the local specialty processing workshop (about 40 minutes), in the afternoon (17:38) take train 2011 (hard seat) back to Jishou (arriving at 19:28).
