Zhangjiajie Travel Routes

I suggest going first to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, where the scenery is especially beautiful and represents Zhangjiajie's local wonders of fantastic mountains and clear waters. You can spend two days there. Local students get in free. The full-price ticket is about 300 RMB, but be sure to bring your ID card — last time we went, one person didn't bring it and later the ticket inspector wouldn't give any discount no matter what.
Then take a look at Yellow Dragon Cave, a natural lava cave that's very beautiful. Student ticket 60 RMB.
If you have time, go rafting — haha, it's really fun!! Student ticket is about 180 RMB.
If you want to ride a cable car, you can go to Tianmen Mountain; the scenery there is also very beautiful. But if you go to Tianmen Mountain, you don't need to go to the Forest Park — the scenery is pretty similar. Best to go to the Forest Park, where the value for money is high, haha.
Well, if you know an old classmate studying in Zhangjiajie, hurry and ask them for help — haha, you'll save a lot. Maybe they can lend you a student ID and you won't have to pay at many places.

Tianmen Mountain occupies a very important historical position in the Zhangjiajie area. Its geology and landforms are magical and unique, its natural resources are rich and precious, and its cultural connotations are even more profound and extensive. Many cultural and historical sites are world-famous, and it is revered as the "Soul of Zhangjiajie." Tianmen Mountain was called Songliang Mountain in ancient times.
