Day 1
Day 1: Pick-up, Tujia Folk Custom Park Day Tour
Morning: Drive to the 【Tujia Folk Custom Park】. Located in the urban area of Zhangjiajie with convenient transportation, it covers an area of over 80 mu with a total investment of nearly 100 million yuan. It is based on the Tusi castle of the Xiangxi people and styled after the most complete original site of a Tujia mountain village. Restored on the original site in 1997 and opened to tourists, it is a brilliant cultural pearl that complements Zhangjiajie's natural scenery. It is a "sacred place" for the Tujia people to worship, offer sacrifices, pray, and hold festivals. Here, the Tujia ethnic group's thousand-year-old exotic customs and habits are preserved. The Tusi Castle, the Nine-Heaven Hereditary Hall, and the Tujia Mountain Village in the park gather the essence of the history of the Tujia people throughout greater Xiangxi. It is an ethnic cultural attraction integrating Tujia farming culture, military culture, Tusi culture, architectural culture, and folk customs.
Since its opening, it has received more than 30 Party and state leaders, represented by former Premier Zhu Rongji of the State Council. CCTV and provincial TV stations have reported on the park many times. In 2003, it was listed as a national AAAA-level scenic area. It now receives more than 600,000 Chinese and foreign tourists annually, forming a premium itinerary of "viewing scenery on the mountain and experiencing folk customs at the foot of the mountain."
Introduction to Zhangjiajie Tujia Folk Custom Park Attractions
Stop 1: Large-scale Tujia welcome and blessing gate-blocking wine;
Stop 2: Explanation of three attractions: sacrificial pillars, Tujia historical figures, and the First Merit in the Southeast;
Stop 3: Explanation of the totem poles on the Hand-Waving Ground, Tujia folk performances, and interactive programs in which guests participate, letting you be intoxicated in the joyful hand-waving dance. (Every day at 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., a Tujia hundred-person grand ancestor worship activity is launched on time;
Stop 4: The three most spiritually significant attractions—the Tusi King's Palace, the thousand-year-old locust tree, and the waterfall—leave everyone with unlimited space for imagination;
Stop 5: Climb the "Tujia People's Museum"—the Nine-Heaven Stilted Building, which won a Guinness World Record—to learn about the Tujia people's history and culture, military station culture, and cultural relics and historic sites;
Stop 6: Visit the Tujia Mountain Village to see Tujia folk customs, namely: experience Tujia brocade and Tujia residential life; enjoy customs such as crying marriage, antiphonal singing, and three-stick drum; watch primitive labor scenes such as a wine workshop, ox mill, and water mill.
Stop 7: Send off the group.

I. Explanation of fees included in the quotation:
1. Tickets: Includes tickets to the scenic spots listed in the itinerary;
2. Accommodation: Includes hotel accommodation each night for two people sharing one standard twin room. If a single room supplement occurs, the room fee must be paid additionally;
Due to the need to visit famous scenic spots such as Yangjiajie, our itinerary includes 1 night of accommodation in a mountain inn (clean, safe, and hygienic).
3. Guide: Includes the considerate service fee of an excellent nationally certified guide;
4. Insurance: Includes travel agency liability insurance and scenic area accident insurance. For private groups, personal accident insurance can be given as a gift;
5. Transportation: Includes 7–55 seat tourist vehicles (the vehicle type depends on the number of people in the group that day). Vehicle use period: from pick-up to drop-off; vehicle use scope: within the tourism itinerary.
II. Explanation of fees not included in the quotation:
1. Tourist meals: Except where "meals included" is specifically marked, all others [do not include meals]. Solutions:
A. Order meals separately. Tourists may decide independently according to personal preferences and freely choose local specialties and dishes;
B. Choose group meals provided by our agency: standard is 40 yuan/person/day, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner;
2. Scenic area cableways: Fees for cable cars, ropeways, sightseeing trains, elevators, and other transportation tools within scenic areas;
3. Major transportation costs: Does not include major transportation costs such as air tickets and train tickets to and from Zhangjiajie from the tourist's location;
4. Other fees: Personal consumption and additional fees arising from force majeure factors, etc.
III. Warm travel tips:
1. Ticket booking: Our agency can book round-trip air tickets and train tickets to various places on behalf of tourists;
2. Additional scenic spots: This route can add other scenic spots according to tourists' needs, with costs calculated separately;
3. Discount policy: Tourists who meet the following discount policies, such as seniors over 60 years old, active-duty military personnel, children under 1.2 meters, students, journalists, etc. Please inform our customer service in advance.
Tip: For combined consumption at scenic-area hotels, no refund will be given if meals are not taken. If scenic spot tickets cannot be visited due to force majeure factors, or if discounted tickets are generated with discount certificates, only the price difference after the discounted settlement price will be refunded.
IV. Explanation of relevant terms:
Hotel class description [i.e., accommodation description]:
1. Economy class: Stay in ordinary hotels, no star rating, clean, hygienic, safe, with complete independent bathroom, air conditioning, color TV, and hot water facilities;
2. Standard class: Hotels are higher than "economy class"; hotels are recently renovated or preparing to apply for a three-star rating;
3. Deluxe class: Stay in officially listed three-star hotels evaluated by relevant national departments;
4. Super deluxe class: Stay in four-star hotels or hotels that are larger in scale, more fully equipped, and preparing to apply for a four-star rating compared with those in "deluxe class";
5. Ultra deluxe class: Standard stay in five-star hotels or the best local hotels, such as Wulingyuan International Resort Hotel in Wulingyuan District (listed 5-star).
Explanation of group types [independent travelers, groups, and conferences accepted daily]:
1. Shared group tour: A conventional and economical way of traveling. After tourists from various places register with our agency, accommodation, vehicles, guides, and other services are arranged uniformly to form a tour group for travel. Advantages: optimizes tourism resources and saves travel costs; disadvantages: compared with tourists forming a private group, flexibility is slightly lower.
2. Private group: Means tourists charter a vehicle separately and hire a guide for exclusive service, forming an independent group. Advantages: more dedicated service, and product quality and service quality are far higher than conventional travel methods; disadvantages: private groups require advance booking and arrangement, and the travel price is relatively higher.
Discussion and execution of tourism services:

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park scenic area ticket discount and free ticket policy:
1. Tourists holding the new version of press cards, active-duty officer certificates, military disability certificates, civilian cadre certificates, student certificates, police officer certificates (armed police), soldier certificates, and retired officer certificates, as well as children under 1.2 meters, can pass directly through a special channel with valid certificates;
2. Seniors over 70 years old can purchase a 68 yuan environmental protection bus ticket with their ID card;
3. Seniors aged 60–69 can purchase a 163 yuan discounted ticket with their ID card (must be full age);
4. Students over 1.2 meters and under 24 years old can purchase a 163 yuan discounted ticket with their student ID and ID card;
5. Children over 1.2 meters and under 1.5 meters can directly purchase a 163 yuan discounted ticket.
6. Those holding first- or second-level disability certificates issued by the Disabled Persons' Federation can purchase a 68 yuan environmental protection bus ticket; please verify certificates and number of people before purchasing tickets, and present certificates when purchasing tickets.
