Afternoon You may choose to take the world's highest sightseeing elevator—Bailong Elevator (optional at 56 yuan/person one way) or climb the Luanchuan Slope (2 hours) up to Yuanjiajie, and tour the core of the World Natural Heritage site: Yuanjiajie's scenery is famous for its majesty, wonder, steepness, and grandeur. In the scenic area, stone peaks are in a thousand postures, and streams flow around the peaks; ancient trees tower on the mountains, and mist fills the air—truly an earthly fairyland. Along the more than ten-li mountain-ring touring road, the scenery is too beautiful to take in all at once. Magical World—one-day tour of Yangjiajie and Wulong Village
Early morning You can watch the sunrise, one of Zhangjiajie's four great wonders (requires good weather). Looking out, the sea of clouds rises and falls like mountain ranges, flowing among the peaks. The eastern sky is lightly edged with a beautiful red border. The scenery is very tranquil and peaceful yet full of movement.
Morning Visit Yangjiajie Scenic Area, the most beautiful place in Zhangjiajie Scenic Area. Yangjiajie is not like Zhangjiajie, yet its scenery surpasses Zhangjiajie's: elegant, magnificent, perilous, and majestic... it captivates people and makes them gasp in amazement! We will visit famous attractions such as Tianbo Mansion, One Step to Heaven, Sky Corridor, Three Ghost Gates, Yang Family Female Warriors, Echo Wall, Lovers Peak, Five Finger Mountain, Tianbo Mansion, and Wulang Worshipping Buddha, then go to Wulong Village Scenic Area, the most famous bandit lair in greater Xiangxi.
Afternoon Visit Daguantai Scenic Area. This is a place that no one ever visited on conventional routes: Tianzi Seat, Immortal Bridge, Divine Chicken Pecking Food, One Step Hard to Pass... These attractions are unheard of by most people. After visiting them, you will sigh even more: how miraculous are the workings of all creation. In the afternoon, watch the sunset in Zhangjiajie, then return to the guesthouse inside the scenic area for accommodation. Morning Take a bus to the world peak-forest wonder—Tianzi Mountain Scenic Area (you may choose to take the cableway one way down Tianzi Mountain at 52 yuan/person). At Tianzi Mountain, you can look down upon the vast world, and you will feel boundless pride: "Among the mountains, with no mountain above me, I alone am supreme." Tianzi Mountain has four great wonders: peak forests, sea of clouds, sunrise, and winter snow. Morning Take a bus to the lower station of Tianmen Mountain Cableway and visit Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park. Tianmen Mountain has profound cultural heritage, is called the "Soul of Wuling," and has the reputation of being the first sacred mountain of Xiangxi. Tianmen Cableway: The cableway has an inclined length of 7,455 meters and a horizontal height difference between upper and lower stations of 1,279 meters. It is the world's longest single-line circulating detachable grip cabin-type cableway, like a rainbow flying between the "human world" and "heaven," and also like a giant dragon soaring in the cloudy sky, clinging to the mountain and cliffs, rising straight up, soul-stirring and magnificent. It has become one of the "four great wonders" of Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area.
Tongtian Avenue: The winding mountain road known as Tongtian Avenue has a total of 99 bends, like a jade belt winding around, bend after bend closely connected, layer upon layer rising, clinging to the mountain and cliffs, rushing straight into the clouds. The "No. 1 Road Wonder under Heaven" emerges in the world. Viewed from the cableway, the road is as dense as a spider web, with a vertical height difference of about one thousand meters.
Tianmen Cave Opening: 131.5 meters high and more than 50 meters wide, opening north-south on a sheer cliff of a thousand fathoms. It is majestic and towering, a rare high-altitude mountain-piercing karst cave, and even more a peerless wonder fully displaying the marvels of creation. The 2006 Russian Air Force aerobatic flight performance at Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain escalated the mystery of Tianmen Cave and once again made it a global focus.
Ghost Valley Plank Road: Beneath your feet is boundless green wilderness, flocks of small birds play in the canyon, and occasionally an eagle sweeps past your eyes. Close your eyes, endure your numb legs, with a racing heartbeat, open your arms, and you can receive the most perfect, most thrilling, and most nature-close SPA.
