09:30 Depart from the city, take a bus to Jishou (3 hours), enjoying the pastoral scenery of Xiangxi along the way.
Lunch at a characteristic farmhouse in Jishou, with vegetables and rice cooked in spring water. Main dishes include wood ear mushroom stewed with free-range chicken, Xiangxi cured meat, cured pig tongue, homemade tofu with vegetables, etc.
Afternoon:
After lunch, visit the Aizhai Bridge, the world's largest steel truss suspension bridge spanning a canyon. This bridge is a single-span steel truss stiffened suspension bridge with a main span of 1,176 meters, a deck width of 24.5 meters, and a height of 350 meters above the canyon floor. It has set four world records and is hailed as a perfect combination of bridge engineering art and natural landscape. View the world's road wonder—Aizhai Highway—from a distance. Free time in the afternoon. You can go to the Folk Specialty Street of Fenghuang Ancient Town to find your favorite small gifts, or rent Miao clothing near the North Gate Tower and take photos with Fenghuang Ancient Town to leave beautiful memories; you can also stroll along the Tuo River and enjoy the characteristic buildings of Xiangxi—stilted houses, Wanmin Tower, Duocui Tower, and other beautiful sights.
