Head to the small town praised by the famous New Zealand writer Rewi Alley as China's most beautiful ancient town — [Fenghuang Ancient Town], which can be read in Shen Congwen's writings, seen in Huang Yongyu's paintings, and heard in Song Zuying's songs. After arriving at the ancient town, visit the Nine Scenic Spots of the ancient town, including Shen Congwen's Former Residence, Xiong Xiling's Former Residence, Yang Family Ancestral Hall, East Gate Tower, Tuojiang River Boat Ride, Hongqiao Art Building, Chongde Hall, Wanshou Palace, and the Ancient Town Museum (no less than two hours). After the tour ends, return to the hotel to rest or freely explore the ancient town's night views in the evening. Stay: Fenghuang.
