Morning:
The guide or driver will meet the group at Zhangjiajie Airport or Railway Station with a sign. Departing from Zhangjiajie city area, a 40-minute drive brings us to China's first national forest park -- [Zhangjiajie National Forest Park] (245 yuan ticket + 5 yuan scenic area insurance included, two days of sightseeing): visit the Great Oxygen Bar Square (8-10 thousand negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter of air), climb to an altitude of 1,200 meters to Huangshizhai Scenic Area, known as "If you don't go up Huangshizhai, your trip to Zhangjiajie is in vain" (you may choose to take the Huangshizhai cable car up and down the mountain, one way 65 yuan/person/trip not included, or choose to walk): a panoramic view of countless mountains and valleys unfolds before your eyes. Walking along the mountain-top loop trail around the village, you can enjoy the stunning natural scenery of Huangshizhai. Stroll along "China's most beautiful grand canyon" -- Golden Whip Stream: Golden Whip Stream is 7.5 kilometers long, and walking sightseeing takes about 2.5 hours. Golden Whip Stream is a naturally formed beautiful stream, named after the Golden Whip Rock. The valley is lush with vegetation, and the stream water is clear in all four seasons. It is called a "gallery of mountains and waters" and a "fairyland on earth." Along the way, visit famous attractions such as Golden Whip Rock, Divine Eagle Guarding the Whip, Cleaving the Mountain to Save the Mother, Drunken Arhat, Wenxing Rock, Purple Grass Pool, Meeting After a Thousand Miles, Water Winding Around Four Gates, Guanyin Delivering a Child, Master and Disciple Seeking Scriptures, Longevity Spring, Candle Peak, Two Turtles Exploring the Stream, and Scholar's Book Collection. Depart from the hotel to the Suoxiyu ticket station to enter the scenic area, take the world's No. 1 elevator, the Bailong Sightseeing Elevator, up to the mountain top [Yuanjiajie Scenic Area] (Bailong Elevator ascent 72 yuan/person included). Visit the filming location of "Avatar," "Mount Hallelujah," also known as "South Heaven Pillar" (also called Qiankun Pillar). Spend 1.5 hours exploring the mysterious fantasy world of floating mountains and scattered peaks from Avatar; visit the mist-shrouded, layered peaks and majestic Mihun Platform, No. 1 Bridge Under Heaven, and other aerial wonders.
Afternoon:
Take the shuttle bus for 40 minutes to reach Tianzi Mountain Nature Scenic Area, known as the "King of Peak Forests" (sightseeing time about 1 hour): "Whoever knows the face of Tianzi, after returning will not look at other mountains." This shows the charming and beautiful scenery of Tianzi Mountain, with many attractions. Visit Helong Park, which combines nature and culture, Imperial Brush Peak, Fairy Presenting Flowers, West Sea Stone Forest, Stone Boat Setting Out to Sea, and others. You can go up to Tianzi Pavilion, the highest point of Tianzi Mountain, and look far into the panoramic view of Tianzi Mountain. After breakfast, visit Zhangjiajie Life Flower Expo Museum (1 hour, complimentary item; if not visited, the fee will not be reduced or refunded), then visit Yellow Dragon Cave Scenic Area, known as the "all-around champion of world karst caves" (100 yuan ticket included): Yellow Dragon Cave was selected in 2005 as "China's most beautiful tourist cave." In the cave, lights are dim and stalagmites stand in forests, like ancient trees with twisted roots and gnarled branches. There are caves within caves and rivers within caves, full of wonders. It truly deserves the name "underground magic palace." Afternoon:
After lunch, drive past the "ancient battlefield of a thousand years," Baizhang Gorge, to exit the scenic area: the gorge is named because it has stone cliffs nearly a hundred zhang high piercing the clouds, too high to look up at. Return to Zhangjiajie city. If the weather is clear, you can also see the majestic Tianmen Mountain and Tianmen Cave, the "soul of Wuling," from the bus.
Around 15:00
Take a BUS to Fenghuang (provincial road + expressway, 4 hours). During the trip, free activity time will be arranged, no more than 50 minutes (because the driving time is long and the distance is far, this time is for tourists to rest). Dinner will be arranged as a Xiangxi Long Table Banquet. After arriving in Fenghuang, guests may visit the Fenghuang night view on their own and stroll along the beautiful Tuo River. Lights on both banks are dim, and the ancient town is quiet yet gorgeous, making people linger and forget to return.
