The Yangjiajie Ropeway project is located in the western part of the Wulingyuan core scenic area and connects the lower station of the Huangshizhai Ropeway to Yangjiajie (the middle section is connected by a 1.5-kilometer sightseeing walking trail in the core scenic area, about a 15–20 minute walk, and both ends are already served by environmentally friendly shuttle buses).
Construction of the ropeway station buildings and line project began in 2012 and went into operation in the fourth quarter of 2013. The expected visitor numbers are 887,000 and 1.23 million person-times, and the expected actual ticket price in 2014 is 37.5 yuan per person.
