Xianren Stream is located south of Yongding urban area, only 4 kilometers from the city center, surrounded by mountains on all sides, with beautiful scenery. The entire Xianren Stream landscape extends quite deep, and the farther in you go, the more you can feel its unique mystery. Especially after rain, Xianren Stream is shrouded in mist, with mountains and waters appearing and disappearing, and visitors walking through it feel as if they are in a fairyland.
Travel Routes
Because Xianren Stream has not yet been developed, compared with major attractions that draw tour groups, Xianren Stream is more suitable for self-driving tours or outdoor sports. Although transportation is not as convenient as at mature scenic spots, Xianren Stream is not difficult to reach. Visitors can take Bus No. 8 in the urban area and get off at Xianren Stream Station, walk ten minutes to enter Xianren Stream Reservoir, and then transfer to a ferry (base price 20 yuan per trip). The water route is very short, only a seven- or eight-minute ride. After getting off the boat, you can enter the entrance of Xianren Stream Village and fully immerse yourself in the mysterious and primitive scenery.
According to the village head of Xianren Stream Village, most tourists coming to Xianren Stream only barbecue and swim in the stream at the village entrance and rarely go deep into the scenic area. The essential scenic spots of Xianren Stream are all hidden in the Xiami Stream section, a tributary of Xianren Stream. Going upstream along Xiami Stream, you can see scenic spots such as Longtan, waterfalls, Qixing Mountain, Liu Mingdeng's military training ground, and South Heaven Gate, but the road is difficult to travel, and only a few well-equipped outdoor enthusiasts dare to attempt it.
Eye-Catching Attractions
Xianren Cave——If you do not take dangerous paths in pursuit of wonders, you can go upstream from the entrance of Xianren Stream Village into Heidu Bay. On a cave called Kongke, there is a naturally formed stone Bodhisattva standing proudly with an immortal bearing, affectionately called the Immortal by local people. The cave is therefore named Xianren Cave. In the old society, many common people came here to burn incense and pray for blessings, seeking the protection of the Immortal.
South Heaven Gate——Go all the way inward along the river, and at the deepest part of the stream, you can look up at the South Heaven Gate hidden in the clouds and mist. It is different from the Tianmen Cave of Tianmen Mountain. It stands independently among the mountains, like a true gate to heaven. When you have passed through the Tianmen Cave ahead, you still have to pass through this South Heaven Gate to truly ascend to immortality. The several peaks beside South Heaven Gate are also strangely shaped, naturally forming natural landscapes of various sizes. The General Rock, like heavenly soldiers and generals guarding South Heaven Gate, and the Candle Peak, symbolizing the immortal atmosphere of South Heaven Gate, are scattered around, forming an overall mountain wonder.
Travel Tips:
1. The Xianren Stream river valley is relatively open, with sparse vegetation on both sides, so when visiting Xianren Stream under strong sunlight, be sure to take sun protection measures.
2. The most beautiful scenic spots of Xianren Stream are located within Xianren Stream Village and Xiniu Village. Because tourism development is not yet in place, the local area currently cannot provide accommodation and other service items. In addition, scenic spots are concentrated in the Xiami Stream section of the tributary, but the road is difficult to travel. Visitors who want to go deep into this section of the scenic area need to be equipped with complete outdoor gear.
