This is the first scenic spot of Shadao Gully. A collapsed giant rock lies across the stream. One end of the rock rests on the right bank, forming an opening. The stream flows through the opening, producing a ding-dong sound, and scours out a pool more than 1 meter deep in the stream. The pool water is clear as a mirror, and the red and white sand and stones at the bottom are smooth and crystalline, with fish and frogs sometimes swimming among them. On both sides of the pool, stone peaks rise high and stand around it, broadleaf forest and shrubs are dense and evergreen, and the foot of the peaks is covered with moss, like a spread green carpet. The peaks and the blue sky are reflected in the bottom of the pool, and wisps of white clouds pass over the water. Above and to the right of the pool stands a stone pillar about 50 meters high and about 5 meters in diameter beside the path, with sparse green leaves, graceful and upright, forming a peculiar and beautiful scene together with Qingxin Pool. Standing at the pool and viewing the scenery, all worldly thoughts vanish.
