Introduction
Hunan Wulingyuan Cableway Co., Ltd. was established on December 7, 1995. The Wulingyuan District People's Government and Hong Kong Anda International Holiday Resort (Zhangjiajie) Co., Ltd. signed a contract, and it is a wholly foreign-owned enterprise invested by Hong Kong Anda International Co., Ltd. Construction of the Tianzi Mountain cableway began in June 1996, and it officially opened to the public in May 1997. The Tianzi Mountain cableway is a single-line circulating detachable grip passenger cableway, with all equipment imported from Austria's Doppelmayr company. The designed horizontal line is 1,960 m, the inclined length is 2,084 m, and the height difference between the two end stations is 692 m. It is equipped with 41 single-line automatic circulating cabins, each cabin carrying 6 people, with an operating speed of 5 m/s and a one-way capacity of 900 people per hour. The cableway's power supply uses dual power sources; it is equipped with an emergency backup diesel engine for the urgent evacuation of tourists during power outages or equipment accidents. The company has newly purchased 5 environmentally friendly large passenger buses to provide tourists with free passenger service from the upper cableway station to Tianzi Mountain He Long Park. The project investment was more than 80 million yuan. Construction began on June 28, 1996, and operation opened on May 19, 1997.
The completion and opening of the Tianzi Mountain cableway greatly improved the tourism transportation environment of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area, turning the regret of spending half a day climbing Tianzi Mountain only to take a single look into the enjoyment of taking the cableway up the mountain in intervals and fully taking in the charming scenery of Tianzi Mountain, this "enlarged potted landscape, reduced fairyland." Riding the Tianzi Mountain cableway is both comfortable and safe, and the scenery along the way is extraordinarily superb: strange pines and grotesque rocks, vast green forests, secluded springs, and frolicking macaques all come into view, leaving one amazed. Especially when clouds and mist swirl around, tourists riding the cableway can experience even more the dynamic thrill of an immortal drifting in flight.
In recent years, as the number of Chinese and foreign tourists coming to Zhangjiajie for sightseeing has increased day by day, tourists taking the cableway to the Tianzi Mountain scenic area having to line up in turn to enter the station has become a sight of the peak tourist season. In order to provide Chinese and foreign tourists with humanized and affectionate service, reduce the annoyance of queuing, and add interest to queuing, Hunan Wulingyuan (Tianzi Mountain) Cableway Co., Ltd., on the basis of measures such as building wind-and-rain pavilions along the queuing walkway, installing scenic screen players and walkway corridor fans, and providing free herbal tea, has since 2004 hired two highly skilled local folk singers every day from early April to early November each year, that is, during the peak tourist season, to provide folk song singing service for Chinese and foreign tourists waiting in line to enter the station and ride the cableway. Over the past four years, countless Chinese and foreign tourists have not only admired the peerless beauty of the Tianzi Mountain scenic area, but have also been deeply impressed by the original, authentic, and pure folk songs at the lower station of the Tianzi Mountain cableway.
Tianzi Mountain Cableway Co., Ltd. has not only won widespread praise from tourists from all over the world with its safe and advanced facilities and high-quality, thoughtful service, and been rated as one of "China's Top Ten Tourist Cableways," but has also carried out paired poverty alleviation all year round, supporting with practical actions the economic development of Huanghe Village in Tianzi Mountain Town, where the cableway is located, composing song after song of true feeling of "enterprise and village linked heart to heart, helping each other."

Company Anecdotes
On November 23, 2005, a 15-member film crew from Hong Kong's TVB, invited by the Tianzi Mountain Cableway Company, went to Wulingyuan District to shoot a scenic film.
During the five-day shoot, the crew mainly filmed scenic areas and attractions such as Tianzi Mountain, Huangshizhai, Jinbian Stream, and Baofeng Lake, comprehensively showcasing the district's tourism resources and local customs. The promotional film specially invited Chen Fala, champion of the 2004 Miss New York Chinese Pageant and first runner-up in the 2005 Miss International Chinese Pageant finals, to serve as guest host.
This film uses a simple approach to capture every mountain and stream, every plant and tree of Zhangjiajie, and in this way highlights the ethereal, refined beauty of Chinese pageant winner Chen Fala. After filming is completed, it will be broadcast in rotation on Hong Kong's TVB Jade Channel as TVB's Lunar New Year image promotional film.
