Beside the road 500 meters east of Qianli Xianghui Peak, there is a nanmu tree about 7 meters tall with a diameter at breast height of about 20 centimeters. Its trunk splits into two one meter above the ground, then merges into one again about 1.5 meters higher, seamless as if made by heaven, with luxuriant branches and leaves. On May 25, 2005, Wang Yeyuan, vice mayor of Zhangjiajie City, led a delegation to Kambu Town, Hokkaido, Japan, and signed an agreement text establishing the “Reunion Tree” and Kambu Town's “Fate Osmanthus Tree” as “friendly sister trees.”
