The Guigu Plank Road of Tianmen Mountain is located in the Mixian Tianmen Mountain Wonderland Scenic Area, and is named because it hangs along the cliff line above Guigu Cave.
The plank road is 800 meters long in total, with an average elevation of 1,400 meters. Its starting point is Yihong Pass, and its end point is Xiaotianmen. Unlike other plank roads, the entire Guigu Plank Road is neither at the top of the cliff nor at the side of the cliff, but stands along its whole length in the middle of a sheer cliff thousands of meters high, giving people the feeling of rising and falling and bending and stretching together with the cliff.
