Xiuhuashan Hall is located in the heart of Zhangjiajie and is China's first Tujia museum. Here, the time-honored Tujia culture and art and the rich folk custom performance art achieve a high degree of harmony and unity, earning it the titles of "Soul of the Tujia People" and "Epitome of Xiangxi Culture." The main building of Xiuhuashan Hall adopts the courtyard-style structure of Tujia dwellings, with staggered heights and enclosed courtyards. All doors, windows, eaves, and cornerstones were collected from various places in Xiangxi, exuding antique charm and breathtaking beauty.
The collection in the hall is the crystallization of twenty years of persistent collecting by the Tujia couple Chen Chuhua and Gong Daoxiu, known as the "Guardians of Tujia Culture." It basically encompasses various unique and exquisite daily utensils, folk custom utensils, production tools, artistic tools, and family education and sacrificial utensils from the Ming and Qing dynasties of the Tujia people in Xiangxi, including wooden carved furniture, Tujia folk clothing, Tujia cross-stitch and brocade, and Tujia silver ornaments. Among them, the Tujia carved drip bed and the Ming dynasty polychrome stone carvings are world-renowned. Xiuhuashan Hall also breaks through the conventional museum model by combining static ancient artifact viewing with dynamic Tujia folk customs, specifically excavating and showcasing Tujia song and dance music, festival celebrations, religious history, and unique folk culture such as birth, funeral, and marriage customs, making Xiuhuashan Hall a long-renowned cultural landscape in Zhangjiajie.

Visitors can participate in activities in the courtyard full of Tujia charm, such as dressing in Tujia clothing adorned with floral decorations for photography and video, burning incense and candles to seek protection from ancient deities at the Tujia shrine, or holding a unique wedding according to Tujia marriage customs, experiencing the Tujia traditions of riding a bridal sedan chair, worshipping ancestors, bowing to heaven and earth, and lifting the bridal veil. The rich folk customs and ethnic culture and art of Xiuhuashan Hall achieve a high degree of harmony and unity, making it the only unique cultural landscape in Zhangjiajie. It has long been renowned at home and abroad. CCTV programs such as "Zhengda Variety Show," "Oriental Horizon," and "China Tourism" have featured special reports on Xiuhuashan Hall; dozens of domestic and international newspapers including People's Daily, Guangming Daily, and Nanyang Siang Pau have promoted it; and several film studios have used Xiuhuashan Hall as a filming location for interior and exterior scenes. On October 21, 1998, Tung Chee-hwa, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and his wife visited Xiuhuashan Hall accompanied by Vice Governor He Tongxin.
