Tangle Cave

Tangle Cave is located about 10 km west of Jishou, also known as 'Little Peach Blossom Cave'. Legend says that during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, Yang Dingyuan, a general under Wu Bayue, led rebel troops into the cave to forge weapons, so it was called 'Blacksmith Cave'. 'Blacksmith' in Miao language is 'Tangle', hence the name. The cave consists of one main passage and several branches over three levels, about 2,500 m long and averaging about 10 m high, with three ventilation openings. The air inside is fresh and the scenery varied, with main sights including the Reception Hall, Drum-Dancing Platform and Crouching Lion.

The air in the cave is fresh and the scenery is in a thousand postures. The main attractions include the Welcome Hall, Drum-Dancing Platform, Crouching Lion Flat, Xiangluan Slope, Green Dragon Pool, Moon-Viewing Tower, Dragon-Connecting Bridge, Stone Flower Mountain, Stone Flower Stream, Ancient Stone Zither, and the iron-forging site of the Miao rebel army.
