In 1973, when Luxi No. 2 Middle School was building a sports field, stone axes, stone adzes, scrapers, projectile points, stone hoes, pottery shards of various vessels, snail shells, animal bones, and other objects were unearthed. After appraisal by the Hunan Provincial Museum and Xiamen University, they were identified as Neolithic artifacts and are now kept in the Hunan Provincial Museum.
