Baishui River is located by the Xiongdi River southeast of Huayuan County town. Beside the mountain is a cave that gushes out a large stream of spring water, flowing continuously all year round, milky white in color. A Qing dynasty person left the poem "White Spring Fertile Snow": "Is it spring or snow gushing in torrents, spraying foam and flying flow into white waves; a hundred-foot silver dragon coils in the water palace, a thousand calls of white cranes shake the clear bank; sunlight ripples and the iceberg moves, cloud vapor blurs and the jade rampart rises high; I wish to cast a long rod into the white water, and in the depths of the whirlpool fish for the divine turtle."
