In 1929, the Song family of Huayuan County built Chongshan Park on the former site of the Zhen Tai government office. The park included towers, terraces, pavilions, ponds, flowers and trees, railed corridors, rockeries, stone benches, a zoo, a library, and a playground. It was antique and elegant, with tree shade covering the hill, making it a fine place for sightseeing and escaping the summer heat. In 1941, a county-run junior middle school was built in Chongshan Park, and the park was gradually destroyed. It is now the site of the county ethnic middle school and the teachers' continuing education school.
