In the fifth year of Emperor Gaozu of Han, Qianling County was established. Because the county seat was square in shape, it was called Sifang City. Unearthed cultural relics include short swords, dagger-axes, and mountain-character bronze mirrors from the Warring States period; bronze basins and bronze vessels from the Han Dynasty; and porcelain from the Yuan Dynasty. The ruins still exist today.
