Meinü Peak is a sharp and rounded small hilltop situated on the back side of the main peak of Yumu Mountain. In the past, there was a small hut at the top of the mountain where a beautiful girl lived, and at the foot of the mountain there was a clear spring well. Every morning, the girl regularly went to the well and used the crystal-clear spring water to wash her long black hair. Each time she washed, her complexion became a little more radiant and her black hair grew a little longer. The girl became more and more beautiful, which attracted the harassment of a lustful old landlord. Driven to desperation, the girl shaved her head and entered the mountain nunnery. Many years later, when the world was at peace and the weather favorable, people remembered the beautiful nun who had lived in the nunnery. When they went to see her, the person was gone and the nunnery empty. Beside the nunnery there was a grave, and neither the grave mound nor the entire hilltop grew trees; only long silk grass swayed in the wind, like the girl's long hair flowing. So people called this peak Meinü Peak; the hillside Meinü Combing Her Hair; the nunnery on the mountain Meinü Nunnery; and the spring at the foot of the mountain Meinü Spring.
To the west of Meinü Combing Her Hair is the clear Maolishan Reservoir. On the southeast side of the mountain there is a long and relatively open narrow valley, and halfway up the mountain there is a man-made tunnel through the mountain, spacious inside and equipped with water and electricity facilities. Meinü Peak is surrounded by green shade and birdsong and fragrant flowers. On the side facing Maolishan, it is an excellent place for building leisure and entertainment facilities.
