Ouyang Hai Martyr Monument: Located in Ouyang Hai Village, Xintang Town, it is the place where Ouyang Hai heroically sacrificed his life. On November 18, 1963, the communist fighter Ouyang Hai, to save a passenger train and over a thousand passengers, stepped forward to push away a startled horse and gave his precious life. The monument was built in 1967 and listed as a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit in 1972. There is a statue of Ouyang Hai pushing the horse, and beside the monument is an exhibition hall displaying photos, paintings, and physical objects of Ouyang Hai's growth, as well as inscriptions by Party and state leaders Dong Biwu, Ye Jianying, Nie Rongzhen, and others.
The Ouyang Hai Martyr Monument is on a hill beside the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway in Xintang Town, 23 kilometers northwest of Hengdong County. The monument features a cement statue of Martyr Ouyang Hai pushing a horse to save a train, 10 meters high, covering 3,000 square meters. Beside it is a memorial hall displaying the martyr's life deeds and physical objects. It is a provincial key cultural relic protection unit.
