In the Linxiang urban area, there is a beautiful river that flows through the city. Because the urban area is Chang'an Town, it is named Chang'an River. As you stroll along both banks of the Chang'an River, you feel as if you are in a charming scenic gallery. Distinctive pavilions and towers add endless charm to the Chang'an River: on both the east and west banks are clusters of European-style and Japanese-style buildings, exquisite and elegant. The Xingping Swimming Pool and Xinghe Plaza in the midstream of the west bank merge with the commercial pedestrian street under construction, becoming a new favorite for tourists to relax and shop. The riverbanks are carpeted with green grass, and green willows trail in the water, making one reluctant to leave. In the southern section of the upper reaches of the Chang'an River, a tourism development zone has passed provincial expert appraisal, and the development of a man-made lake and 16 scenic spots is proceeding at full speed.
Chang'an River Park covers an area of 24 hectares. Three highway bridges span east and west like rainbows; north and south archways tower over the riverbanks; and twin pavilions nestle by the water, attracting a steady stream of visitors. The resplendent Chang'an Pavilion stands proudly on the dam at the northern end of the Chang'an River, majestic and spectacular. The east and west pavilions resemble two eagles spreading their wings to fly. Leaders including Zhang Zhen, Mao Zhiyong, Yang Zhengwu, Chu Bo, and Yu Laishan successively inspected the Chang'an River and gave it high praise. The former "Dragon Whisker Ditch" has been transformed into a beautiful "Qinhuai River."
