The main body of the Water Park is Huayi Reservoir. This reservoir was built in 1958 and expanded in 1965. It has a storage capacity of 10.1 million cubic meters and a maximum impounded water area of 125 hectares, making it a medium-sized reservoir. The full reservoir of clear water is used not only for farmland irrigation, but mainly to supply domestic and production water to Sanfengsi market town and surrounding villages, the nitrogen fertilizer plant, Xinghua Beer Factory and other units. A low mountain in the middle of Huayi Reservoir is called Bijia Mountain, and on its summit is a single tree formed of four interconnected chinquapin chestnut trees growing together. The water of the reservoir mainly comes from Tongqingchong Stream and Baociguan Stream. The high peak in the distance is called Qi'an Peak, shaped like a horse saddle, with the momentum of a steed galloping and neighing as it rushes toward us. There are 3 small islands in the water. These 3 islands are called Lovers' Islands. The small island covered with green pines to the north is a vigorous handsome young man, and the bare island beside it is a tender, affectionate pretty girl. Just as they were regretting they had not met sooner and were deeply in love, a third party appeared. The green island opposite is a gorgeously dressed sweet young lady, extending an olive branch of love to the handsome young man. When the handsome young man was wavering and straddling two boats, the pretty girl became ill from sorrow and died without recovery. After the handsome young man came to his senses, he cherished the memory of the pretty girl and decided never to marry, staying by her side. The Water Park, officially opened on August 15, 1997, includes an area from Yehe Mountain in the east, to Qinu Peak in the south, and from Pili Bay in the north, with a total area of 20,000 mu. The park has man-made beaches, a shooting range, fishing platforms, lake cruise boats and other entertainment and leisure projects.
