Now appearing before you are towering stone peaks rising from the ground, like soldiers standing in formation. This is one of Zhangjiajie's famous attractions — the Gathering of Divine Soldiers. Legend has it that it was named after Xiang Wang Tianzi, the leader of the Tujia uprising, who gathered 48 generals here to discuss military affairs. Therefore, some also call this the Forty-Eight General Rocks.
As the elevator ascends, you can also spot households living on the mountaintop opposite. They are all local residents who have farmed and lived there for generations. Hence it is also called the Hanging Garden in the Sky.

And as the elevator descends, the large expanse of peaks opposite looks like soldiers standing in formation. This is one of Zhangjiajie's famous attractions — the Gathering of Divine Soldiers.
