Xiaoyuan Park is located at the east gate of Changsha, bordering Changsha Railway Station to the east and Wuyi East Road to the south. Covering an area of about 4 hectares, it was completed and opened in 1986 and is an ideal newly established garden for sightseeing and relaxation in the ancient city of Changsha.

The park's architecture and layout, while inheriting the traditions of Chinese garden art, maintain a strong Hunan local character. The towers, pavilions, kiosks, and waterside structures in the park are small and exquisite, with landscapes and water interconnected as one. To the east are the Dongyuan Exhibition Hall and the Garden within the Garden; by the lake to the north is Yunshui Residence; to the south is Juyuan Tower; and on the hilltop by the lake shore are Yingxu Pavilion, Shuangxiu Pavilion, Yixiang Pavilion, Half Pavilion, and other small structures, each with its own distinctive style, enhancing one another's charm.

The bronze statue group of friendship and peace in the cherry blossom grove is a precious gift from Kagoshima City, Japan, to the people of Changsha, symbolizing the friendly sentiments between the peoples of the two countries.

Finding tranquility in the bustling city, with gates closed against the noise, Xiaoyuan delights and refreshes you in spring, summer, autumn, and winter alike, making you linger and forget to return.
