Shaoshan is located in Xiangtan City, Hunan Province. It is the hometown of Comrade Mao Zedong and a famous red tourism destination and patriotism education base in China.

Location:Located in central Hunan, about 100 kilometers from Changsha, adjacent to Xiangtan urban area and Xiangxiang City. Transportation is mainly by road, and it can be reached via expressways.
Best season:It is suitable to visit in all four seasons. Spring and autumn (March-May, September-November) have comfortable weather and a better touring experience; there are more visitors on major commemorative days and holidays.
